Creating a Ship Surface from Measurements Contours
of the Hull from Nature

Abstract: The biggest problem for many vessels acquired abroad is the lack of technical documentation. The theoretical drawing is primarily, as well as drawings of general arrangement and design drawings make it possible to properly execute the necessary classification and operational documents, check seakeeping, propulsion and stability at the request of regulatory authorities or spend wisely modernization and re-equipment of the vessel.
In most cases, small fishing vessels, boats acquired by the ship owner without drawings. The theoretical drawing, can say, is a priority document of the technical documentation on the basis of which carried out all the required subsequent calculations. Creating a theoretical drawing of the hull is a difficult technical problem and requires the necessary precision in the measurement of contours.
The results of further calculations for the vessel depend on how the vessel surface of the which will be different from the actual surface of the hull.
The authors have developed a practical method and accumulated some experience in the removal of the necessary measurements and contours of the hull construction of the theoretical drawing. In this paper, we set out a sequence of actions on the implementation measuring contours of the hull on the slipway. We also gave examples of the developed theoretical drawings.
Key words: theoretical drawing, ship surface, hull, frame, waterline.
