Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) and Japan Airlines (JAL) expand educational and cultural ties. On March 10, FEFU Vice-President for International Relations Victoria Panova and the Head of the JAL office in Vladivostok Takeyama Yuji signed an agreement of understanding and cooperation.

As the parties agreed, FEFU, as the largest university in the Far East and JAL, which has great knowledge and experience in the aviation field, will develop cooperation in the field of education and human resource development, contributing to economic and cultural exchange between the two countries.

The first joint event under the agreement will be a course of lectures for FEFU students on the aviation industry and customer service with experts from JAL. The parties also agreed to organize joint cultural exchanges.

Far Eastern Federal University is intensively developing ties with Japan. Partnership agreements have been concluded with more than 40 universities and research centers of the country, exchanges of students and teachers, joint research and conferences, and scientific articles are published. Since 1994 on about. Hokkaido operates a branch of FEFU - the first and only branch of a Russian university in Japan. In 2018, the first overseas representative office of the university was opened at Tokai University (Japan, Tokyo). FEFU is one of the leading centers for the study and teaching of oriental studies and regional studies in the Asia-Pacific region and has been preparing personnel for diplomatic, commercial, scientific, and military structures who speak oriental languages ​​for more than 120 years.
