The agreement on opening Russia-Korea academic programs in the field of medicine at Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) was concluded within the framework of the Day of a Foreign Investor in Vladivostok on March 20. The document was signed by FEFU President Nikita Anisimov, Managing Director of the partner university of the Massachusetts Institute of Innovation Asia Inc. (MII Asia) Woojin Hwang and Director General of the Far East Agency for Investment Promotion and Export Support Leonid Petukhov in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative Yury Trutnev.

The parties agreed that joint supplementary academic programs in the field of public health and medicine will be implemented at the FEFU School of Biomedicine, as well as the Academic Department of Dentistry and Dental Clinic. Training in the specialty “Dentistry” will be organized for 50 Russian and foreign students with the issuance of a double diploma from FEFU and MII Asia. The dental clinic at the FEFU Medical Center, which was also agreed by the parties, will become the clinical base for students and graduates of the program. It was determined that the Korean side will act as an intellectual and financial partner in the project.

“We sincerely welcome and recognize this agreement. Our joint initiative meets the real need for expanding academic exchanges and is part of a common vision of cooperation in the field of education”, noted Woojin Hwang, Managing Director of MII Asia.

“FEFU is actively expanding cooperation with Korean partners and will continue to initiate new educational, scientific and technological projects that will make our countries even closer. Together we are making a significant contribution to strengthening Russian-Korean humanitarian cooperation”, said Nikita Anisimov, FEFU President.

Far Eastern Federal University is developing ties with 40 partners from the Republic of Korea. there are programs of academic exchange and support for talented students, jointly implemented research projects in various fields with the largest universities, research centers and companies in the country.
