Mitsubishi Corporation LLC will support social and scientific initiatives of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). The corporation announced that it would finance “Project to Support FEFU Students with Health Limitations“ and will continue to award scholarships to young specialists on Japan. The corresponding agreements were signed by FEFU Vice-President for International Relations Victoria Panova and the Head of the company's Representative Office in Vladivostok Eduard Zhestkov.

finance “Project to Support FEFU Students with Health Limitations“ is implemented by specialists in defectology and adaptive physical education of FEFU School of Arts and Humanities. The result will be the training of mentors who will work with health impairments in every institute of University. Mitsubishi Corporation International Scholarship is designed to provide financial support to students of Insitite of Oriental Studies - School of Regional and International Studies of FEFU, who have shown high results in studying the language, history and economy of Japan.

Mitsubishi Corporation is one of FEFU's long-time partners, with the support of which many scientific and educational programs have been implemented. In 2017, the Center for the Study of Russian-Japanese Relations was opened. Thereyoung specialists on Japan comprehensively study modern relations between the countries and prepare practical recommendations for strengthening the partnership, primarily in the economic sphere. 

Also with the participation of Mitsubishi Corporation in Eastern Economic Forum in 2017 was launched the first in Russia Executive MBA program “Business in Asia: Creation and Promotion.” In addition, since 2014, the Japanese company has been supporting the best FEFU students studying the language, history, and economy of Japan and funds foreign internship for talented young people.

Far Eastern Federal University is actively developing its relations with Japan. Partnership agreements have been signed with more than 40 universities and research centers of the country, joint researches, conferences and student and teacher exchanges are held, scientific articles are published. Since 1994, FEFU Branch has been operating on Hokkaido Island, that is the first branch of a Russian university in Japan. In 2018, the first FEFU foreign Representative Office was opened at Tokai University (Tokyo, Japan).
