On May 31, the Director of FEFU Representative Office in Vietnam Luu Thi Nam Ha took part in the book festival of the University of Languages and International Studies - VNU, Hanoi. In order to transfer pedagogical experience to Vietnamese colleagues, FEFU professors handed over the author's textbooks on Russian Literature and Russian as a Foreign Language.

The specialized divisions of the Institute of Oriental Studies - the School of Regional and International Studies: the Department of Russian Language and Literature and the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language responded to the collection of textbooks. In total, 9 works of FEFU professors were handed over to Vietnamese Russianists on the theory and practice of the Russian language, the history of Russian literature, folklore, and the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language.

“This year, FEFU will celebrate the 65-th anniversary of Far Eastern Russian Studies and the 25th anniversary of the Department of Russian Studies. For more than half a century history of training specialists in the philological profile, the university has become a leader in the promotion of the Russian language and culture in the Asia-Pacific region. We are always open to the exchange of experience with foreign colleagues and are in solidarity with the central idea of the IFL book festival - the creation of an open knowledge community”, shared Victoria Panova, Vice-President for International Relations.

FEFU Representative Office in Hanoi has been operating since 2018 and implements projects aimed at expanding the regional partner network, informing Vietnamese applicants about the opportunities of studying at FEFU, and promoting the Russian language and culture. Since the opening of the overseas division, the number of Vietnamese students at FEFU has doubled.
