Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) took 29th place in the updated annual ranking of the 100 best domestic universities from Forbes Russia. In the assessment, much attention is paid to the quality of education, the demand for graduates from employers, and international cooperation programs.

In 2020, Forbes researchers introduced an updated rating methodology. In the metric “Quality of education”, which is based on monitoring data from the Ministry of Education, a comprehensive parameter “Professors Qualification” (25 points) has appeared. Forbes evaluated the “international activity” of universities (15 points) based on the share of foreign students, the availability of foreign internships, and double-degree programs with foreign universities. The parameter “Examination level” (10 points) for those who entered the first year is also traditionally taken into account. When scoring, the researchers, together with representatives of the Avito Job service, asked 59 of the largest Russian companies whose graduates they would like to hire in priority order.

Changes in the rating allowed FEFU to rise to high positions. Over the past year, the university has significantly strengthened its reputation among employers, increased the quality of educational products, and launched new educational programs with Russia's and foreign partners.

The university receives the best graduates from all over the Far Eastern region. The program of Visiting professors has been opened at FEFU, which allows attracting leading world scientists to the educational process; there is a program for working with talents Academic Excellence and Honors Education. FEFU scientists are actively published in prestigious international journals.

FEFU is consistently building an ecosystem for the comprehensive support of technological projects and their rapid promotion in the Asia-Pacific markets. On behalf of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, in the FEFU, with the support of the Skolkovo Foundation, the Russkiy Technopark was opened.

FEFU demonstrates a steady growth of positions in Russia’s and foreign rankings is included in the TOP-500 of the best universities in the world according to QS World University Ranking (QS WUR) 2021 and in the TOP-25 of the best universities in Russia according to the RAEX agency.
