Advertising campaign on the Internet, organized by the FEFU Department of Image Policy with the assistance of the Office of International Admissions of the Vice President for International Relations Office, gave an excellent result: just over a month and a half the number of members of the FEFU group in Facebook for international students has increased from 2,800 to 26,267 persons (by the time of publication).

According to the specialists in advertising of the Image Policy Department, it exceeded the wildest predictions—they anticipated the growth only up to 15,000 persons by December 2016.

"With the current progress dynamics, we expect that by the end of the campaign the number of subscribers will reach 28,000–30,000 persons”, says Ian Garyanin, the Head of Advertising Office of the FEFU Department of Image Policy. "A great response among the entrants from the CIS and the Asia-Pacific countries is caused by the announcement of University events abroad. The promotion in Facebook is done by using text and graphic blocks that appear in the mobile version of the application as well.”

As noted by Ian Garyanin, the users in CIS countries from Belarus (VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, and My World), and Kazakhstan (Facebook and Instagram) are exposed to the advertising in social media to the greatest extent. The largest response in the Asia-Pacific countries is from Japanese users (Facebook and Instagram).

Currently FEFU is running the enrollment campaign. As per information on July 11th, 5,794 entrants from 66 subjects of the Russian Federation have filed their applications for three weeks of the campaign, and more than 13,500 applications have been received from those wishing to study in Bachelor's Degree, Specialist Degree, and Master's Degree programs. The University average is that one government-funded place (free tuition) is claimed by seven applicants, and this figure reaches 30 persons per place in separate areas of study.
