The program for foreigners entering higher education levels has been opened at the Center for the Russian Language and Culture of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). Those who plan to apply for FEFU Master’s Degree, Postgraduate or Residency programs will be able to prepare for working with complex professional and scientific literature.

The program is designed for two semesters and includes an advanced study of the Russian language, academic speech, academic writing, and other aspects.

“Preparing for Master’s Degree, Postgraduate or Residency programs is different from preparing for the Undergraduate programs,” noted Irina Cherepovskaya, director of the FEFU Russian Language and Culture Center. – “We offer foreign applicants an advanced level of the Russian language. Our instructors help applicants to master the academic style, prepare for communication with an academic advisor, oral presentations and the creation of written texts. All these aspects are will essential in the educational process.”

28-30 hours a week students spend for general subjects - Russian Language and Social Studies, as well as special subjects in Russian: Literature and History - for Humanities programs, History and Mathematics - for Economics programs, Physics and Chemistry for Engineering programs, Chemistry and Biology - for Biomedical programs.

Far Eastern Federal University is the main center of Russian Studies in the Asia-Pacific region and every year attracts more and more foreign students from Asia, Latin America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The center of the Russian language and culture of FEFU will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2019. Over the years, the university has provided Russian language courses to more than 6,500 people: students and professors of foreign universities, businessmen, employees of companies and diplomatic missions. Over 500 students from more than 25 countries are currently studying at the center.
