The partners of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) from the People's Republic of China (PRC) expressed their appreciation to the university for their joint work on combating coronavirus infection and transferred personal protective equipment as part of international cooperation. 7,000 medical masks from the Consulate General of China in Vladivostok and 20,000 from the Longmei Education Corporation will be sent to university employees and doctors of the FEFU Medical Center.

“The Consulate General of China is grateful to the FEFU for the attention and care shown to foreign students, including students from China. The spread of the new virus is a common problem for our countries, and we are ready to fully cooperate with the university. We hope that cooperation and friendship between us will only strengthen in the joint fight against the outbreak of the epidemic", said Yan Wenbin, Consul General of China in Vladivostok.

Victoria Panova, FEFU Vice-President for International Relations, noted that the university is grateful to the Chinese partners for their help in protecting the citizens of the two states from the ongoing spread of the virus. China's achievements in this struggle, its experience, and assistance are an effective mechanism to curb the epidemic in the region.

Longmei Education Corporation is one of the strategic partners of the university in the development of regional communications. The parties signed an agreement on a joint Center for Continuing Education of the Russian-Chinese international school at FEFU.

“We have been successfully cooperating with the Far Eastern Federal University for several years. We managed to implement many projects, to introduce Chinese youth to the opportunities and prospects of education in the Russian Far East. We are pleased to assist FEFU as our reliable partner in this difficult period”, said Dong Qinlong, Chairman of the Board of the Longmei Corporation.

Recall that in February, more than 300 drawings and crafts were transferred to hospitals in China from the FEFU Medical Center in support of doctors and patients fighting with coronavirus infection. Over 500 children from Vladivostok took part in the “Hand in Hand, Heart to Heart” campaign.
