FEFU team won four prizes at the Second National Inter-University Championship “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia). FEFU students won the first prize in “Computer Games 3D Modeling” category, the second prize in “CAD Engineering Design” category, and the third prize in “Geodesy and Software Solutions at Enterprise 8 1C platform” category. The WorldSkills national championship was held on November 26-29 in Moscow.

“Participation in such competitions is a great opportunity to see the world level of professional competences and to evaluate personal skills”, said Mikhail Sivtsev, Director of the FEFU Department of Secondary Professional Education and the Development of Professional Competences. “Moreover, participants get WorldSkills certificate, that provides benefits and bonuses for Master’s Degree programs admission. And the most important thing is that the labor-market is currently in high demand for high-quality specialists, the excellent results at WorldSkills championships will be an advantage for future employment.”

Since 2017, the university has been regularly conducting demonstration exams on WorldSkills competencies, university championships, professional competitions between students and employees of companies. Student competences are being developed in accordance with strict international standards.

WorldSkills is an international non-profit movement whose goal is to increase the prestige and development of vocational education by harmonizing best practices and professional standards throughout the world.
