Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) and the Chinese Communications and Construction Company (China Communications Construction) have concluded an agreement on the organization of student internships and the provision of scholarships for university students. The document was signed by FEFU Vice President for International Relations Victoria Panova and the Head of the Moscow branch of the Chinese company Ma Jinliang. The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Consul General of the PRC in Vladivostok Liu Wei and the Consul for Education Jiang Zhongliang.

This is not the first cooperation of FEFU with a large foreign business. The integration of industrial partners into the educational process of the university and the training of personnel for the region emphasizes the demand for specialists of the university not only in the Far East, but also in the Asia-Pacific region.

China Communications Construction specializes in the construction of transport infrastructure facilities. It is one of the world leaders in the design and construction of ports, port equipment, dredging, design and construction of the residential and commercial real estate, roads and bridges, railways, subways, airports, and other transportation infrastructure. The company has experience in implementing its projects in more than 150 countries of the world. Representative offices operate in 97 countries. The total number of employees exceeds 150 thousand people.

According to Victoria Panova, Vice President for International Relations, Russia and China are not only verbally but also de facto strategic partners.

It is especially important that with such projects the university emphasizes its status as an international university: employers are interested in FEFU graduates. China Communications Construction scholarship program will be available to Russian and Chinese students from the School of Engineering, School of Economics and Management, Institute of Oriental Studies - School of Regional and International Studies.

FEFU is a leading scientific and educational center in the Asia-Pacific region. Expanding the intercultural interaction of the university with partners in the APR countries is one of the priorities of the modern university.
