Youth Platform “Russky Island: Youth. Science. Innovation” is to be open as part of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF). The pavilion of high-tech projects and innovations, as well as a lecture hall with the participation of leading Russian and foreign experts, are planned. The exposition will be presented within the framework of "Far East Street" exhibition from September 3 to 6.

“EEF Youth Platform will bring together talented young scientists and company representatives around large-scale projects of scientific, technological, digital and innovative development in the Far East. Today, on Russky Island, the joint efforts of the university and corporations create a unique environment of opportunities for launching and implementing innovative projects and start-ups, testing advanced developments in the field of robotics, biotechnology, medicine, technology for storing and transmitting "big data", cybersecurity. Our task is to show the young people the relevance of their knowledge and their professional prospects, said Elena Kharisova, FEFU Deputy Vice-President for Academic and Educational Affairs. The participants of the Platform will be 355 young scientists and researchers from the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District, as well as the best students of FEFU and schoolchildren who are the winners of the academic competitions.

The activities of the pavilion will be devoted to scientific, technological, digital and innovative development in the Far East. Together with representatives of the largest 15 partner companies, young scientists and researchers will present projects planned for implementation in Russian technology companies, the Center for Digital Development (CDD) and the Innovation Science and Technology Center (ISTC).

One of the most active platforms of EEF 2018 was youth sessions and the work of the special pavilion “Youth. Hi-Tech Territory”, where 26 high-tech projects of young inventors and scientists were presented. Also, EEF Youth Day lecture was organized as part of the FEFU youth track, where 500 students, graduate students, scientists and authors of high-tech projects met with leading experts and top managers of Russian and foreign companies.
