Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) President, Nikita Anisimov held negotiations with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Indonesia to Russia and Belarus, Wahid Supriyadi, on December 6. The parties discussed the development of FEFU cooperation with Indonesia in the field of education, science and academic exchanges.

“Due to the Presidents of Russia and Indonesia, the relations between two countries are actively developing. Today, 30 Indonesian students study at Far Eastern Federal University, but we are optimistic about the increase in their number, - said FEFU President Nikita Anisimov. “One more promising are is the cooperation in research and technological projects, including the participation of Russky Technopark residents.”

“The day before, I met with FEFU Indonesian students - they really like to study and participate in the interesting university life”, the Ambassador Wahid Supriyadi. - In total, about 650 of our citizens are currently studying in Russia. Many of them really want to enter FEFU. The embassy will work to ensure the Indonesian students admission expansion.”

The FEFU President and the Ambassador also discussed the development of FEFU’s educational and scientific relations with universities in Indonesia. Nikita Anisimov stressed that the visit of the embassy delegation will help to establish closer contacts with universities and launch joint educational programs, research projects, student and professor exchanges.

Far Eastern Federal University is one of the leaders in the education internationalization in Russia. FEFU is developing relationships with more than 230 universities, research centers and companies in 38 countries. About 3,500 students from 74 countries study at the university, the majority are from the Asia-Pacific region.
