Students of the School of Engineering of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) were invited to have an internship at the large coal-mining enterprise “Kolmar” (the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)). During the internship, students will be able to get acquainted with one of the modern, dynamically developing enterprises of the industry and find employment in the future. The company presentation at FEFU was held with the support of the Agency for the Development of Human Capital in the Far East.

“We are interested in hiring FEFU graduates in the following areas: mining and underground construction, surveying, underground mining of ore deposits, open-pit mining. For acquaintance with the enterprise we offer students to have an internship at our departments. We conclude a fixed-term labor contract with interns, they are paid and provided with accommodation”, said Alena Gavrilova, Director for Human Resources Management at Kolmar Management Company.

At the presentation, representatives of the company answered questions from students of the Department of Mining and Integrated Development of Georesources at the School of Engineering, suggested several research topics related to the specifics of the technological process at the enterprise and conducted a survey of potential trainees. Since 2018, FEFU has a new model of an educational partnership with employers in the Far East, which involves developing personnel strategies for enterprises, opening joint educational modules for the benefit of partners to provide the region with qualified personnel. In 2018, within the framework of the IV Eastern Economic Forum, FEFU signed a number of joint training agreements with Rosneft Oil Company, SIBUR Holding PJSC, Amur Gas Processing Plant, FESCO Group, Aurora and other large enterprises.
