Ahead of the Victory Day’s 80th Anniversary, FEFU will host an international commemorative event, The Great Victory – One for All. Russian and international students of FEFU will be joined by students and faculty of other Vladivostok universities, schoolchildren from municipalities of Primorsky Krai and local residents. More than 1000 people in total are to dance the victory waltz on Russky Island on 6 May.
The participants will express their gratitude to the Great Patriotic War heroes by dancing to the song May Waltz performed by Josef Kobzon. The first rehearsals have already taken place, the next ones will be held on 25, 28, 30 April and 2 May from 6:30 to 9 PM in Building A, Level 3. Anyone wishing to participate in this historic event should fill out a registration form.
The dance will be just one highlight of the celebration: a large festive program will begin at 12 PM and run until 3 PM. The event will take place on the FEFU campus, at outdoor location in front of the Building A on the sea side.
In addition to the waltz, guests of the event will also try weaving camouflage nets, learn the first aid basics, send special postcards to their family or friends, see a WWII historical reenactment, test their history knowledge at a quiz, try the field kitchen menu and take pictures at themed photo zones.
The event will be hosted in partnership with the Government of Primorsky Krai.
A vast array of events are to take place at FEFU in anticipation of 9 May – Victory Poems, a history quiz, Garden of Memory, Victory Dictation, and many others.
