On October 17, 2020, in the capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Hanoi, TruD Test was passed as an integral part of the Total Dictation organized on this day around the world.

This year, the FEFU Representative Office in Vietnam, together with the Institute of Foreign Languages of Vietnam National University, organized the event, which was attended by about 150 people studying Russian as a foreign language in various educational institutions in Hanoi.

“FEFU supports Russia’s policy of promoting the Russian language and popularizing Russian culture abroad, and especially in Vietnam, Russia has a 70-year history of relations with this country. Such events resonate not only among young people studying Russian but also among the older generation who learned Russian during their studies at the universities of the Soviet Union and have a warm attitude towards Russia and Russian culture. Thanks to the long-term cooperation of our states, we manage to maintain really friendly relations based on mutual support, fruitful interaction, and cultural exchange”, noted Victoria Panova, FEFU Vice-President for International Relations.

The topic of the dictation in 2020 was “The Path to Space Exploration”, the participants had to solve 10 tasks developed on the basis of the original text of the dictation, and the final 11th task was a small excerpt that the participants wrote. All the participants have successfully completed the task.

In addition to the test, the participants of the event also tested themselves in team games and competitions prepared by the organizers. Liu Thi Nam Ha, Director of the FEFU Representative Office in Vietnam, told the audience about the possibilities of studying the Russian language at Far Eastern Federal University, the prospects and opportunities that open up for those who study the Russian language.

Test results will be announced by October 31. Each participant will be awarded a certificate, and the top ten will receive commemorative prizes from the organizers.
