Far Eastern Federal University, together with the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Lebanon, organized a webinar for young people in the Middle East, dedicated to admission to FEFU. The participants learned about the programs of the university, career opportunities, and got to know better the students and the campus infrastructure. The event became the fourth in the informational online project of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Lebanon “We are opening leading Russian universities with the RCSC in Beirut”

According to the Office of Vice-President for International Relations, students from Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, as well as a FEFU graduate from Yemen, who, after graduation, continued her professional career at the university, shared their experience of studying at Far Eastern Federal University. Talking about their studies on the island, the students also introduced viewers to the research library and campus dormitories. Special attention was paid to the School of Biomedicine and the School of Natural Sciences discussed how things are with the employment of FEFU graduates, participants talked about the mechanisms for supporting students, how to realize themselves not only in studies but also in science, sports, creativity and about how foreign university students live in the Far East.

FEFU Deputy Vice-President for International Relations Evgeny Vlasov shared with the audience up-to-date information about Russia’s system of higher education, about the place of the Far Eastern Federal University in it and about how the university lives now, and what are the prospects for its further development.

In the summer of 2020, FEFU specialists held 21 webinars for foreign applicants. The participants not only got acquainted with academic programs, but also learned about their career prospects, living in dormitories, and extra-curricular activities at the university. The applicants were also told how to apply to the university online and learned about the specifics of the 2020 admissions campaign. Moreover, FEFU has launched a campaign to recruit international students. The next webinars are planned in Latin America.

More than 3,500 foreign students from 74 countries study at the Far Eastern Federal University. FEFU is actively working to expand international relations, strengthening the position of Russia’s education in the APR. In total, the network of foreign partners of FEFU has more than 280 educational and scientific centers with which cooperation agreements have been signed.
