Two international summer schools are held simultaneously at Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). From July 14 to July 21, the university accepts 14 students of 7-8 grades from the city of Chengdu (Sichuan Province, PRC). From July 15 to July 21, a joint school of FEFU and the Longmei Education Corporation (PRC) is held at FEFU campus with the participation of 18 Chinese high school students who plan to enter FEFU.

According to the FEFU Office of Vice President for International Relations, a rich program has been prepared for school participants. Excursions, meetings with native speakers of the Russian language, events to study the cultural peculiarities of Russia: visiting the Arsenyev museum, lectures on the Far East, as well as cooking classes.

Since 2018, international summer schools are held not only for foreign students, but also for students of secondary education. Programs include intensive study of the Russian language, familiarity with the culture of the country, the sights of the city, which cause genuine interest and a desire to visit Vladivostok again.

“We have successfully cooperated with the Longmei Education Corporation for several years. The program at the same time allows foreign schoolchildren to spend their holidays, learn about university opportunities and get to know a wonderful city”, says Anna Komogortseva, Director of the FEFU Center for International Promotion, Tourism and Protocol.

Already on July 22, another joint student summer school of FEFU and Harbin Polytechnic University will begin, and from 6 to 28 August the international student school “Russia - the Far East” will be held.

Far Eastern Federal University is actively working towards internationalization and expanding international cooperation. Conducting summer schools together with educational institutions of foreign partners is an integral part of integrating FEFU into the global educational agenda and is aimed at improving the competitiveness of the university in the framework of the 5-100 project.

One of the most important tasks of FEFU as the flagship of Russian education in the Asia-Pacific region is to attract foreign applicants. At present, more than 3,500 foreign students from 74 countries study in different forms at FEFU.

The university implements international Master's academic programs, which are taught in English. Students can choose language internships, joint educational and grant programs, and exchange programs at various universities around the world.
