The results of the first semester of AEHE work and plans for the new year were presented at a meeting with the participation of FEFU President Nikita Anisimov.

“The university is an environment for the students development”. Academic Excellence and Honors Education is a unique, FEFU flagship program to support talented and motivated students to develop and expand their competencies. It is you who will be the first to try out a qualitatively new system of organization of the educational process at our university, which opens up the widest possibilities for self-realization”, Nikita Anisimov addressed the AEHE participants.

Already in the spring semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, the best FEFU students will receive 50 international travel grants for participation in internships, exchange programs, and summer schools. The university will also allocate 25 grants for the study of a second foreign language and will form five groups for intensive English language programs provided by MGIMO (Moscow State University of International Relations). 100 students will receive certificates for completing additional online courses from leading FEFU partner universities.

The program started in the fall of 2018, now more than 200 first-year students are participating in the program. During the adaptation semester, they got acquainted with the FEFU educational environment, they were trained in the development of soft skills, including leadership, teamwork, and others. Together with the advisors, the students worked on personal educational trajectories which determine additional competencies they would like to receive during their studies.
