The access control and management system (ACS) is being launched at the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). Full operation of the ACS will begin in February after a testing period. How the system will work and how to get into the buildings where it is installed, we tell in the instructions.

With the advent of the new system, students and staff will be able to enter the university using biometric data (face photo) or a QR code for an electronic pass available in the My Univer mobile app and in their personal account on the FEFU website in the "Ordering a pass" section. To ensure that the passage to the building does not cause difficulties and takes a few seconds, make sure that your face is uncovered.

If the system did not identify the person, use the QR code of the electronic pass.

If you only have a temporary FEFU personal pass with you, contact a security officer to get access.

Recall that the first changes at the entrances to the educational and administrative buildings were noticed by students and university staff at the end of autumn: the old stationary arched frames were replaced with wider and modern ones, and turnstiles were installed that can recognize incoming by biometric characteristics.

“We tried very carefully to approach the widespread launch of a new security system. Modern technologies demanded great attention of our specialists. From the end of December until recently, the software has been tweaked to ensure its stable operation. Only after that, a full-fledged launch of the system became possible,” said Maxim Vedyashkin, FEFU Vice President for Campus Management.

In order to inform students and staff, instructions for using the new system will be posted in the near future at 15 entrance groups of buildings A, B, C, D, E, F, G and S. It shows step by step the stages of interaction with the ACS. You can also download the manual (PDF).
