Sociology and Construction Bachelor's and Master's Degree Programs of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) were awarded 5 Stars following the results of the international professional public review. The obtained Excellent Quality status means that the FEFU programs fully correspond to the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG-ENQA).

“Positive results by the independent international review confirm that our programs meet all requirements that apply to higher education on a global level,” said Andrey Shushin, FEFU Vice President for Academic Affairs. “In the near future, thanks to the fact, we expect an increased interest to these areas of study from international entrants and enhanced cooperation with international partners.”

The review of the FEFU educational programs at the end of 2016 was conducted by the National Center for Public Accreditation (Moscow) in collaboration with the Higher Education Evaluation Center, Ministry of Education of PR China. For several days the representatives of the leading universities of Russia and China interviewed students, faculty, alumni, employers, and partners. First of all, the panel studied how well is aligned the communication between all participants in the learning process, the impact of employers on the content of the education courses, and the demand for trained specialists.

Summing up, the experts in Construction drew attention to the strong links of the FEFU School of Engineering with real employers, to the advanced research, involving faculty and students, as well as to strong international links with the partner universities worldwide. In respect of the Sociology Program, experts noted the strong fundamental training of students, the Unified National Exam overall high score of entrants, and the credibility of the School of Humanities Program, acknowledged by the QS Russia by Subject 2016 rankings, where FEFU had been awarded the third place in the subject area of Sociology.
