The results of the International Olympiad of the "Global Universities" Association for international Master's and Postgraduate applicants Open Doors have been summed up. 1700 foreign participants became winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad. They will have the right to study locally in Russia free of charge under the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation for foreign citizens.

The organizer of the Olympiad is the "Global Universities" Association represented by 21 universities participating in the program to increase the global competitiveness of Russian higher education. Far Eastern Federal University, being a part of the Association, took an active part in the organization and verification process of the Olympiad. In 2023, FEFU processed 33 applications, which demonstrates an increase of 3 times compared to the previous year.

In 2023, the most popular study programs among graduate students who chose FEFU were: 04.32.01 "Public Health", 04.08.01. "Construction", 41.04.05 "International Relations", 38.04.02. "Management", 11.04.04. "Electronics and Nanoelectronics", 44.04.01. "Education and Education Science". Postgraduate applicants were most interested in the 06.06.01 "Biological Sciences", 06.44.01 "Education and Education Science ", 06.04.01 "Chemical Sciences".

Candidates for obtaining a quota for studying at the FEFU Master's programs represented such countries as: Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh, Jordan, Mexico. Citizens of such countries as Egypt, Pakistan, Libya, Nigeria, Ghana, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Indonesia became candidates for obtaining a quota for Postgraduate programs. The results of the Olympiad show a steady advancement in the number and diversity of participants, and also demonstrate the increasing attractiveness of this competition.

The Open Doors Olympiad is widely known in the world. For six years, more than 325,000 people from 197 countries of the world have taken part in intellectual competitions, about 90% of them live in Asia and Africa. 3,700 participants received the right for free education at the best Russian universities. The interest of participants in the Olympiad has been stable over the past three years, regardless of the restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic and the external political events.

The Olympiad is organized in 14 tracks. The most popular tracks among foreign participants of the Olympiad are Business and Management, Engineering and Technology, Computer Science and Data Science. TOP-3 most demanded areas of study are Financial Management, Computer Science - Artificial Intelligence, International Relations.

The Olympiad is organized with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation.
