The Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) Representative Office will be opened in the People's Republic of China (PRC). The relevant agreement was reached during the negotiations of the FEFU President Nikita Anisimov with Sun Yao, Vice Minister, Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, in Beijing.

It is scheduled that the representative office will start its operations in the autumn of 2018 and will serve as an educational cooperation navigator between Russia and China. The office will be opened in one of the leading universities in China and the university partner is still being chosen.

“The opening of the Far Eastern Federal University Representative Office will allow us to arrange for more intense exchange of students and faculty, research to be carried out, and to create joint academic programs. Besides, this step will strengthen the international image of the university as an academic institution with a global reach,” said FEFU President Nikita Anisimov.

The representative office will serve as the FEFU point of presence for collaboration with Chinese universities, government authorities and business, and will also be a recruiting center to attract entrants, and a platform to develop research cooperation and transfer of technology products.

China is the FEFU main partner in international education. The university develops cooperation with 50 public and private academic and research institutions, government organizations, and foundations in the country.
