Leading universities, research centers, and companies of the Republic of Korea are ready to become partners of the Russky Technopark in Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). Song Young-gil, the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Northern Economic Cooperation, announced the news at the meeting with the FEFU President Nikita Anisimov.

“The Republic of Korea is interested in cooperation with Far Eastern Federal University in the development of technological entrepreneurship and is ready to involve leading universities, research centers, and companies in the implementation of the Russky Technopark project,” said Song Young-gil. “When I was the mayor of Incheon, I took part in the creation of the technopark of the local university. I am sure that together we will succeed in creating an innovative platform where we will combine the best technologies of Russia and Korea.”

“We are very interested in the establishment of offices of Korean companies in the Russky Technopark and the implementation of joint projects,” said the FEFU President Nikita Anisimov. “In the near future we will send a delegation of FEFU to get acquainted with the experience of the Incheon National University Technopark. We will be grateful for the assistance in establishing bilateral ties.”

Woo Yoon-keun, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Russian Federation, also noted the high level of Korean studies at FEFU and proposed to expand support programs for students studying Korean in cooperation with the Korea Foundation. The parties discussed the prospects for launching joint academic programs and opening the FEFU representative office in Korea.
