On October 15, Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) will become a regional venue for the World Festival of Youth and Students (WFYS). Two hundred Russian and international volunteers from 50 countries will arrive to participate in the unique 'The Future of Science and Global Education' educational program. Delegates are expected to meet with international students, to participate in the festival of Russian culture and discussions on topical issues of the planet's future in FEFU.

Regional venues of the World Festival of Youth and Students have become this year's novelty. Russia is a big and amazing country, and programs in the regions will allow participants to get to know it closer. A total of 15 sites will be operating: Primorsky Krai has been selected by 100 international volunteers from four continents to visit— Eurasia, Africa, North and South America—and by 100 participants from all entities of the Russian Far East.

The most intense program awaits delegates in FEFU: plenary session, panel discussions, meetings with international students, as well as excursions on campus, a youth party, and live broadcast of the opening ceremony of the festival from Sochi.

The volunteers are free to choose in which discussions to participate. They have been invited to discuss the future of the Arctic, the safety of nanotechnology, modern media, global climate change, the development of personalized medicine and the role of youth in the world agenda while visiting FEFU. The moderators of the panels will be the leading faculty members and researchers of the university.

The meeting with the FEFU international students will be held in the format of the Days of International Student Unity. Popular and bright holiday of cultures will opened with the traditional parade of peoples, and after that the interactive platforms devoted to the traditions of this country will start working. The FEFU international students will become shepherds: during their studies they have been imbued with the atmosphere of Russia and are ready to tell about it to others. Russian dances, crafts, national cuisine—all these cultural phenomena will be presented by international students.

Excursions across the night Vladivostok, the Primorsky Oceanarium, a trip to the 'Ocean' All-Russian Children's Center, and boat tours are also included into the regional program.

19th World Festival of Youth and Students will be held in Sochi from October 14 to 22. The festival will unite talented young people from all over the world. The motto of the event: "For peace, solidarity and social justice, we are fighting against imperialism—respecting our past, we build our future!"

The delegation of the Primorsky Krai is preparing to leave for the festival. The team will consist of eight FEFU students who won a separate competition at the Eastern Economic Forum. WFYS will also involve 130 volunteers from Primorsky Krai: 100 of them will leave for Sochi on October 9, while the remaining 30 will provide the regional program in FEFU.
