The results of the annual grant competition of the FEFU Endowment Fund for Young Scientists and Research Teams were summed up at Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). Seven winners won grants totaling almost 12 million rubles. Financing of the competition was provided with the support of PJSC "VTB Bank".

Thanks to the continued support of PJSC “VTB Bank”, it has grown so much that it can begin to truly fund scientific research of FEFU young scientists, said Igor Osipov, President of the FEFU Foundation. Revenues from trust management of this target capital will serve as a constant source of annual competitive support for research by young scientists. The principal element of the competition is the external examination of applications. We are sincerely grateful to the leadership and experts of the Russian Science Foundation, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, and the FEFU research unit for their invaluable assistance in its organization.”

FEFU Foundation was established to attract strategic, long-term investments, deposits, and donations from corporate corporations, individuals, and shows a steady annual increase in assets and partnership projects. In 2017, 16 million rubles from the foundation were sent to FEFU’s educational and scientific projects, in 2018 more than 20 million. The current assets of the fund are over 490 million rubles.
