Anastasia Khramova, Lecturer of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) School of Arts, Culture and Sports, won a gold medal at the FISU World University Sambo Championship. The tournament was held from 8 to 12 December in Nicosia (Cyprus) with the participation of more than 200 strongest athletes from 20 countries.

Master of sports Anastasia Khramova participated as a member of the Russian national team in the 48 kg weight class. She had won all preliminary fights with a clear advantage over her rivals and won a victory by submission over the female sambo wrestler from Belarus Anfisa Kapaeva in the final. The gold medal of the FEFU sportswoman allowed the national team to come out on top in the team standings.

Far Eastern Federal University pays great attention to the development of the martial arts. The all-University sambo team includes titled athletes, multiple winners of the provincial, regional, national, and international competitions.
