Far Eastern Federal University expands international cooperation. On June 23, in Vladivostok there was held the meeting between the Vice-rector for International relations, the Director of the Far Eastern Branch of Fund Russian World” Alexander Zubritsky and the Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr. Vu Duong Huan, editor in chief of the Vietnamese television VTV4 Mr. Bach Ngoc Chien, and anchor of Russian-language program in that channel, the alumnus of postgraduate studentship of FEFU Mr. Woo Kwon Doan.

— Development Program of FEFU provides a significant increase in the number of foreign students, including young people from Vietnam — said Alexander Zubritsky. — Therefore it is important for the University to expand cooperation. International students will be able to get a quality education. The year 2012 on the Russky Island there will be opened ultramodern campus and infrastructure will be in compliance with the World standards. Vladivostok is suitable for Vietnamese in terms of logistics — there are direct flights, and we are close to each other.

In his turn, the Consul General said that he have already prepared and submitted a report to his Government on the establishment of FEFU and opportunities for foreign students. For Vietnamese youth in comparison with other Russian Universities the FEFU Education has an advantage — expressed his opinion Mr. Vu Duong Juan. — Firstly, we think, here is safer than in the other Russian cities. Second, the reasonable cost of training. And, finally, the high level standard of education.”

So, at the beginning of the school year the five young people from Vietnam will come to FEFU for studying Russian philology. And for information dissemination about FEFU, on the regional channel VTV4 will be displayed informative videos about the Far Eastern Federal University and passed the information about opportunities for learning.
