<Title language-id="en_US">Consul General of Japan n Vladivostok highly evaluated the construction of FEFU new campus

On July 8 the delegation of Japanese consulate headed by Consul General of Japan in Vladivostok Mr. Nabuaki Ito visited the construction site of Far Eastern Federal University on Island Russkiy, where main activities of APEC meeting 2012 will be held.

The tour started from cape Novosilskiy, where the bridge over the strait Eastern Bosphorus is being constructed. General Director of “Far Eastern Directorate of Ministry of Regional Development” Evgeniy Rogoza told the Japanese delegation about the bridge to Island Russkiy and construction works that are being held there. The Japanese were delighted with the pylons of the bridge: the designed height of the pylons is 320 meters above sea level, more than 200 meters are already concreted.

After that the Japanese delegation went around the Far Eastern Federal University construction site and made sure of high readiness degree of all objects. Afterwards, Mr. Nabuaki Ito visited two halls of the conference-center, where finishing works are underway. In these halls meetings of the Presidents who’ll take part in APEC will be organized in September 2012. It is expected that before the APEC meeting some other activities of local and international character will take place there, and it will allow testing the buildings of FEFU.

Later on, the Japanese delegation took a look at recreation center, hotel building №4 and the sea-front of FEFU, highly evaluating the quality of work. The representatives from the Japanese Consulate were delighted with the modern architecture of the new FEFU campus and the landscape of the Ayaks bay.
