Several days ago the film crew from Vietnam came to our city to shoot a documentary about the first Vietnamese President’s life in Vladivostok.
Ho Shi Min visited Vladivostok three times: in 1924, 1927 and 1937. The 10th episode of the documentary will be devoted to these trips.
— We are interested in three memorable sites in Vladivostok: the memorial plaque for Ho Shi Min in Seaport Buildings, a monument to the Unknown Warrior and a room in the hotel “Versailles”, where he stayed three times, — tells the Director of Vietnamese documentary Mr. Chan Hong Kam. — Vladivostok is the second point of our journey. We are planning to work also in Kazan, Sochi and St. Petersburg. Today we are going to record an interview with honorable Chairman of Russian and Vietnamese Friendship Society in Vladivostok. I’m sure we’ll hear a lot of interesting things about the stay of ex-leader of Vietnam in your city.
Vietnamese Cultural-Educational Center at FEFU was well-prepared for the visitors. Alexander Sokolovskiy told the film crew about the peculiarities of lacquer painting, about the native Vietnamese costumes for men and women, about fruitful collaboration with Vietnam in the sphere of Education.
— Our faculty and students have internships at the best Vietnamese universities, we constantly exchange experience, — tells the Director of Vietnamese Cultural-Educational Center at FEFU Alexander Sokolovskiy. Every year we accept more and more students who want to learn the Vietnamese language. And this is the guarantee of long-term collaboration between our countries.
The film crew from Vietnam will work in Vladivostok till July 19, 2011.
