— At present we are looking for the partners among foreign universities, from which we’ll obtain educational programs and invite foreign teachers. Jeju National University is one of the most promising partners among Korean universities, — noted Dr. Vladimir Miklushevskiy.
— We are very proud of the long-term partnership with FENU — since 1996. During these 15 years we have been realizing students and teachers exchanges, and now, with the establishment of FEFU our collaboration will raise to a new level, — Jeju National University President Dr. Ho Hyang-Jin announced.
JNU President noted that FEFU and JNU have very much in common. Both campuses are situated on picturesque islands. Dr. Ho Hyang-Jin, who took the lead of the university in spring 2010, defines the priorities of JNU development as internationalization of education, introduction of the electronic university system and up-to-date technologies into the educational process. As well as in FEFU now, the pedagogical university was included into JNU in 2008. There is also the same number of Schools — 9.
Jeju National University will become the FEFU experimental ground for realizing internships, trainings and co-educational programs. One more aspect of collaboration is teaching Russian language, history and culture.
At the first meeting Dr. Ho Hyang-Jin suggested Dr. Vladimir Miklushevskiy sending a Russian language teacher for a yearlong internship at JNU Russian Language Department. Also the Korean university will invite 2 or 3 FEFU students for participating in JNU Summer Schools that are devoted to Korean language, history and culture.
