<Title language-id="en_US">American expert in the sphere of public art &amp; urban design will arrange the series of master-classes for FEFU students

On the October, 11 the first meeting of the American designer Kendal Henry with the Interior Department students of FEFU School of Engineering was held. The expert visit was organized with the support of the charity fund CEC ArtsLink, modern art gallery "Arka", the studio of monumental art of "33+1", Trust for Mutual Understanding, the U.S. Consulate General in Vladivostok and the city administration.

Kendal Henry is a recognized expert in the field of urban art, has extensive experience around the world, including Russia. Kendal Henry is a member of the "Council of Twelve," which determines the development of urban art in the United States. His international projects for desining art facilities in urban areas are of permanent success, and the most significant Kendal’s work is the New York Subway design curatorial project.

During the meeting with FEFU students and teachers Kendal Henry gave a lecture on contemporary art in an urban environment, as well got acquainted with the works of the Interior Department students, got under the direction of Honored Artist of Russia, Alexei Onufrienko FEFU lecturer.

On October, 13 Kendal Henry met with the initiative group of the University, and within October, 14 – 21 he will hold a series of master-classes for FEFU School of Engineering students on how to actually work with art objects. The presentation of students projects will be the result of Kendal Henry’s stay at FEFU. The presentation will be held on October, 22 at 27 Ostryakov ave., Vladivostok.
