<Title language-id="en_US">Unique seminars held by Illinois State University Professor took place at FEFU School of Biomedicine

During three days American Professor Dr. William Artz from the Illinois State University was holding seminars for undergraduate and graduate students and teachers of FEFU School of Biomedicine. His lectures were devoted to innovative approaches to treatment of food for extension of terms of their storage, and also to innovative methods of identifying harmful substances and purifying edible fats.

— We’ve been cooperating with the Illinois State University since 2008, — Deputy Director of FEFU School of Biomedicine Mrs. Tatiana Kalenik informed. — Since that time we have established fruitful cooperation — scientific projects, joint educational programs and, of course, internships. Thus, three our scholars are going to have internships at Illinois State University: Tatiana Dolgova, Lyudmila Levochkina and Nadezhda Struppul.

Within the framework of the Program of Developing Innovative Infrastructure on the Technological Platform “Biotechnology” the international Chair of Molecular Biotechnology was established at FEFU jointly with Illinois State University. Next academic year students will be able to enroll to the joint educational program “Food products from plant raw materials”. This program will be led by the Professor of Illinois State University Dr. William Artz and FEFU Professor Dr. Yury Prikhodko. 

It should be noted that FEFU School of Biomedicine collaborates with leading universities of China and Vietnam as well.
