Fourth-year student of the FEFU School of Regional and International Studies Vera Valieva was awarded in the XVI competition of the performances in Japanese language among students of the Far East and Eastern Siberia, which was held on October, 6 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Students from Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Sakhalin, Buryatia, Magadan, Irkutsk and Yakutia demonstrated their language skills.

A high level of Japanese language skills contestants should have been demonstrated during the five-minute speech with the selected topic — in addition, it was necessary to convince the jury of their arguments and answer questions. Among the topics chosen by students were "Rhythm of every day," "Do not be afraid of characters", "Film and Reality", "The Power of the senses," and others.

Now FEFU student, along with two other winners will travel to Moscow to represent the Far East Federal District in the contest for the best knowledge of Japanese language on the international level — in this contest will engage students from 13 countries.
