The FEFU Languages School is the best school in the higher education system of the Far East. Students of the Far Eastern Federal University School of Regional and International Studies win Languages competition at different levels each month. The fifth-year student from this School Ilya Dyakov will remember the Russian Students Day for a long time: just that day he won the competition for the internship at a Japanese university.
The International Cooperation and Tourism Department of the Primorsky Krai and the Prefectural Administration of Toyama (Japan) organized the competition which was held in Vladivostok for 17-th time. Students learning the Japanese language in the Universities of Vladivostok and Ussuriisk took part in this competition. They had to answer the questions to pass the written exam and oral interview. Ilya Dyakov successfully completed all the tasks and already in March he will go for the internship to one of the greatest universities of Toyama.
- I got interested in the Japanese language yet in 2007, when I lived in Blagoveshchensk. After my school graduation I entered the local university faculty of journalism. About the same time I started to visit the Japanese language private courses. And this language charmed me at once. After 2 years I transferred to the faculty of Japanese studies of the Far Eastern National University and engaged Japanese in earnest, – the winner says. – I participated in the competition of such level for the first time – and my participation was successful. By the way, the tasks of the competition didn’t seem to me so difficult. It’s great that I can choose the University for the internship myself. In Japan I want to study placenames from the Matsuo Basho diary «Along the paths of the North».
Further work in the Russian company is one of the conditions for participation in the competition from the Japanese side to the student, who will undertake the internship.
