The students of Heilongjiang University organized a big concert for Vladivostok students and pupils.
In China, according to the lunar calendar, this holiday came on January, 23. And the students from Heilongjiang University, which is one of the main partners of FEFU, came to congratulate their Russian friends on the beginning of spring. The Confucius Institute Head Office and Hanban Parliament were the initiators of Chinese students tour.
A big number of teachers, students and pupils learning the Chinese language came to the concert. Chinese artists familiarized the audience with folk songs and dances and even disclosed some secrets of arts: taught all comers with the original dancing actions.
The representatives of the FEFU Rectorate also came to see colorful performances. Vice-President for International Affairs Mr. Andrey V. Babko reminded the audience of the old friendship between FEFU and Heilongjiang University:
- About a thousand Chinese students study at FEFU and half of them are the students of Heilongjiang University. Here I see many pupils, who like the Chinese language. I’m sure that someone from these pupils will carry this love down the years, will become a student of FEFU in future and if someone wants, there is an opportunity to participate in an exchange program and to study at a Chinese university.
Consul of the Consulate General of China Mr. Lyu Tsyungo congratulated the lovers of the Chinese language and culture on the New Year according to the lunar calendar.
- This night Chinese people wish each other family happiness. It is the main thing for us. I also want to wish our Russian friends family prosperity and realization of their plans. Vladivostok is gradually becoming the center of international cooperation in Asian-Pacific Region and I hope this development will continue – added Mr. Lyu Tsyungo.
The audience was especially impressed by the song of Dima Bilan repertoire – guests sang it in Russian language!
As the artists confessed, this was the first performance in front of the Russian auditence for many of them.
- I’m in Russia for the first time so I am very excited about the appearance on the stage, - Tsai Mensin, the student of Heilongjiang University told. – But Vladivostok impressed me at first sight. The air is very fresh here and it’s easy to breathe!
The next concert of Chinese students will be organized in Ussuriisk and then they’ll go to other cities of the Far East and Siberia.
