AASSA-FEB RAS International Workshop on “Climate change adaptation and mitigation: sustainable agriculture and health security”
AASSAA - FEB RAS International Workshop on “Climate change adaptation and mitigation: sustainable agriculture and health security” will be held in Birobidzhan, Russian Federation, 01-05 October 2018 jointly Organized by: Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia (AASSA) & Far Eastern Branch Russian Academy of Sciences (FEB RAS).
Supported by: InterAcademy Partnership (IAP).
The themes of the International Workshop will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Climate & Human Health (understanding the impact of climate change and design adaptation strategies)
- Future urbanization and climate change (evaluating how urbanization and global warming will act together)
- Ecological Responses to Climate Change
- Climate-resilience and environmental sustainability
- Changing world: agricultural potentials and ecosystem tradeoffs
- Sustainable Food Security (with a particular emphasis on better understanding the impact of climate change and designing adequate adaptation strategies)
Call for abstracts:
Researchers are invited to submit a 200-word abstract of their paper in English and one page CV of the senior or presenting author (MS Word, 11 points; refer to the attached sample author’s abstract and write up) by e-mail to icarp.aassa2018@yahoo.com no later than May 30, 2018.
Researchers are invited to submit a 2000-word extended abstract after acceptance of their 200-word abstract no later than June 30, 2018.
