The Department of Sociology at the University of Surrey, Guildford, United Kingdom, has established a Visiting International Fellowship (VIF) to foster the development of sociological research methods. Between one and three Fellowships are awarded by competition each year. Applicants should demonstrate their focus on methodological issues, including the innovative nature of their methodological work, and indicate how they would collaborate with colleagues at Surrey during the VIF.

The VIF is intended for established scholars, who are normally at least 5 years post doctorate.

An award of £2,500 will be made as a contribution towards travel and subsistence expenses incurred in holding the Fellowship.

Closing date for VIF applications for 2017 is 30th September 2016
