The 2017 application for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Course MathMods and its related Erasmus Mundus scholarships (worth up to 47,000 euros!) is now open.

MathMods is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) programme in Mathematical Modelling in Engineering run by five European universities based in L'Aquila (Italy), Barcelona (Spain), Gdansk (Poland), Hamburg (Germany) and Nice (France).

Applicants must have gained a recognised Bachelor's Degree (BS, BSc, SB, etc.) – or a degree at the same level of an academic Bachelor's Degree (e.g. its equivalent from a college, university, or technical school of high standing), or 180 ECTS credits in the European system – in one of the following (or equivalent) fields:

  • Applied Mathematics
  • Mathematics with a good background in Physics
  • Physics with a good background in Mathematics
  • Engineering with a large background in Mathematics and Physics.

Students in the final year of their undergraduate study can be admitted on condition that their Bachelor's degree is awarded before the enrolment in the MathMods MSc, namely before 15 August 2017.

All applicants whose native language is not English are required to prove a satisfactory level of spoken and written English, certified by any of the following: TOEFL, IELTS, CAE or any other certificate equivalent to the above.
