Please note that the ERC is particularly keen to encourage excellent proposals from Principal Investigators based outside Europe who wish to carry out a project with a host institution in the EU or in one of the Associated Countries (page 9 of the work programme).  ERC calls are open, as always, to researchers of any nationality and scientific area, willing to run a 5-year project with a European (EU or associated country) Host Institution. They have to spend at least 50% of their working time in Europe. Members of ERC teams can also be of any nationality.

Please feel free to spread this information further to any potentially interested parties. And please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any question in this respect.
