The Holberg Prize is awarded to scholars who have made outstanding contributions to research in the arts and humanities, social sciences, law or theology. The Prize amount is NOK 6 million (approx. EUR 617 000 / USD 760 000). Scholars holding positions at universities, academies or other research institutions are entitled to nominate.
