Oleg Pak — a highly qualified professional with seventeen years experience in the field of medicine, MD, Ph.D., author of more than 30 educational and methodical and research papers, one of the leading specialist of Russia and the Asian-Pacific Region in the neurosurgery field, Medical UN expert, member of the Presidium of the All-Russian Public Movement "Physicians for human rights, "as well as several other organizations, associations and professional societies.
The new clinic of FEFU, which opened in 2012, Oleg Pak will be responsible for the management as a whole, the implementation of new medical and scientific projects, the quality of medical care, high level of personnel training, organization of medical care and observance of sanitary and epidemiological conditions.
“I must admit, I am proud that I was proposed to lead this Medical Center which is unique for the Far East and Russia upon the whole. Currently the administrative and medical recruiting is in the process. We want to hire for the Medical Center top experts from Russia and abroad. At the moment we are negotiating with world-famous hospitals on the issue of administrating the Center,” — said Oleg Pak.
FEFU Medical Center will become a modern full-scale medical-research institution, will meet the highest world-level standards. The Medical Center building, covering the area of more than 20 thousand square meters, is currently under construction at the territory of the new campus of the University on the Russky Island. The new medical center will use advanced diagnostic, surgery, rehabilitation, and research facilities. Under the concept of the clinic, its tasks will include not only curative, preventive and rehabilitative functions, but also educational and research processes.
Scientists from the School of Biomedicine and FEB RAS, as well as scientists from other leading Russian and foreign institutions will be able to conduct research related to the use of Marine Biology, aimed at prolonging life and strenthening human health. Services of the modern clinic will be available not only for residents of Vladivostok, Primorye and Far Eastern region but in the future — also for patients from the Asian-Pacific Region countries. The clinic will apply the latest achivements in modern medicine, including the development of FEFU School of Biomedicine scientists and FEB RAS scientists.
