6,000 FEFU graduates received their degree diplomas on proms in mid-July. The largest graduating class in 2016 was at the School of Engineering—1,584 Bachelors, Specialists and Masters—195 of whom were awarded degrees with honors, graduated from it this year. The second in number release of graduates took place at the School of Economics and Management, where degrees were awarded to 1,151 graduates, 214 of whom were awarded with honors.

This year's Commencement Ceremony at FEFU ended with celebrating the top 100 graduates. For the first time FEFU administration specially congratulated the distinguished graduates, who have contributed significantly to the development of their alma mater not only by their excellent learning, but also by advances in science, sports, arts, and social activities.
