Abstract: In 2018, the School of Engineering of the Far Eastern Federal University will celebrate the 100th
anniversary of higher engineering education in the Russian Far East.
The article presents the biography, scientific and teaching activities of Gennady Evgrafovich Kuvshinov, Professor, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, specialist in ship power engineering and automation.
