The calculation of oxyhen mass transfer in the energy equipment channels being under cathodic protection from corrosion

Abstract: The paper deals with the issue of modelling the oxygen mass transfer on the border “metal–solution” from the side of liquid under cathodic polarisation of the surface. The modelling is based on the derivation and solution of the boundary value problem for the equation of convectional diffusion with the linear speed profile, the choice the equation and single-valuedness conditions being substantiated. The equations for the concentration and density of the oxygen current on the border are presented in this paper. The equations enable one to calculate the change of physico-chemical characteristics of the boundary layer under its cathodic polarisation.
