The released energy of interatomic bindings when compressing solids

Abstract: The article considers the problem of determining the amount of the released internal energy of interatomic bindings when the stability of the isotropic and transversally isotropic shell is being lost when axially compressed. The design formula to determine the amount of the released internal energy of interatomic bindings has been deduced. The practicality of using the released energy of interatomic bindings prior to the fracture of solids in the course of compressing has been studied. A new energy source is offered in the article.
