Issues and prospects of renovation of the residential environment of the coastal towns of the Russian Far Eastern

Abstract: The article is concerned with the pressing tasks of renovation of the residential environment of the coastal towns of the Russian Far Eastern with consideration for the regional peculiarities of natural landscape, socio-functional, and aesthetic conditions and factors. The evolution of the urban environment of the Russian Far Eastern towns and its actual state are considered in it. There have been identified gaps and contradictions in the existing environment and outlined the main directions and principles of the re-construction. It illustrates the application of basic principles when elaborating and realising projects aimed to renovate the existing environment on the example of Vladivostok.
