Actual lighting of Vladivostok

Abstract: The article deals with the development of artificial lighting in Vladivostok caused by the appearance of new light sources as well as by changes in the urban planning structure and socio-economic processes. The complex plans of city development, scientific endeavours and action-oriented researches in the field of the construction have set the directions and peculiarities of the formation of the space-planning structure enabling one to project and create new architectural and visual forms: architectural ensembles of buildings and structures as well as day and night panoramas of the city. The logic of urban expansion, the construction of new facilities, the emergence of new road junctions and pedestrian crossings entail changes in planning and environment, which also have raised the issue of organising a harmonious and artistically expressive architectural and lighting environment of Vladivostok including the appearance of new light ensembles, light dominates, accents and panoramas and the creation of safe and comfortable night public and transport spaces.

Key words: light-architecture environment, light dominant, light planning structure.
