Among the most distinguished events and projects are the following:

  • Russia - Far East Summer School for international students which offers several course modules of intensive training. The Summer School of 2019 significantly expands the range of academic modules offered to the international students.

  • Educational program for students of BRICS countries hosted by FEFU in 2020. During the spring semester, 70 foreign students and 38 participants of FEFU Academic Excellence and Honors Education Program undergo training in the most relevant areas of undergraduate and graduate programs for BRICS countries.

  • Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit is one of the most representative forums for students and young professionals who are able to exchange viewpoints on the different issues as well as to expand cooperation between ASEAN countries and Russia and discuss international projects. The third Summit was held in October 2015 at FEFU.


OI-SRIS participate in international research projects such as:

  • Developing Trans-regional information literacy for lifelong learning and the knowledge economy (DIREKT)
  •  Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst grants in German Language, Culture, and Literature
