FEFU Fundamental and Exploratory Research Endowment

FEFU Fundamental and Exploratory Research Endowment, established in 2015, presupposes the following activity areas:

• Competitive support of the disciplinary and interdisciplinary fundamental and exploratory research in FEFU and schools priority development areas including ‘Ocean resources’, ‘Energy resources and energy-conserving technology’, ‘Industry of nano-systems and nano-materials’, ‘Transportation and logistics complex’, ‘Russia’s cooperation the Asia Pacific nations’, ‘Biomedicine’ and ‘Eastern Arctic (Continental shelf)’;

• Competitive support of the fundamental and exploratory research in the new, promising and innovative fields;

• Establishment of new centers, laboratories, departments, professorships in the fields of fundamental and exploratory research with a wide engagement of international experts and business community on the matching funding basis; 

• Formation of a research community aimed to improve the skills scholars and faculty, to encourage their active engagement in international cooperation, and to encourage development of the FEFU research infrastructure.
